Pond Construction...

As you may have read on the main page, August 2003 we moved. Yes, we are starting all over again in a small town called Newcastle - about 25 minutes east of Oshawa.
Our new home is wonderful! The landscape is bare except for a few mature trees, like White Oak, Soft Maples, and Cedar. There is nothing like being able to work off a clean slate and make a place your own! We are really looking forward to creating gardens, pathways, and yes.. several ponds.
Construction pages will be in sections, starting from the beginning and working up to the present. Ian's father's ponds will also be placed in this section.

Projects will be added on to this section as time goes so please check back to see what's new!

Q-setups - quarantine. These are DIY(do-it-yourself) projects. How we built our first indoor tank and the different filter systems that went along with it. DIY - Tanks, large or small and easy to build. We had over 60 Koi to transfer from one home with ponds to another without... No time to dig so Ian designed a portable tank.
Other DIY projects will be added as time goes.
2002 Upgrade - We wanted a bigger pond, isn't that always the case? How we upgraded our 800gallon pond to 5000gallons and added an 800gallon water garden. Dad's Pond - Ever wanted an indoor pond? See how Ian's parents brought their pond inside for year round enjoyment.
2004 New Pond - April 2004 we broke ground! See how we built our koi pond on a limited budget.
